Google Ads for perfume and fragrance brands

Almost all demand is branded, which means the trademark question comes before the campaign question.

Authorisation first

Listing designer names you are not authorised to resell reads as counterfeit. This is the single biggest risk in the category and it is an account-level one, not an ad-level one.

Search behaviour is almost entirely branded

People search the exact fragrance, size and concentration — "eau de parfum 50ml", not "nice perfume". Titles need name, size and type or you match nothing useful.

Margin is thin and comparison is one click away

Widely available products mean price is visible next to your ad. Sets and bundles usually carry the account better than single bottles, because they move AOV without touching CPC.
