eCommerce PPC

An eCommerce PPC agency is mostly an operations job.

Very little of this work is clever. It is reading search terms, fixing feeds, checking that the numbers are real, and moving budget toward what pays — every day, on purpose.

What "PPC management" should include

The word covers everything from a monthly glance to genuine daily operation, at similar prices. Here is what should be in scope, so you can ask.

  • Tracking ownership. Verified against store orders at the start and re-checked monthly. If your agency has never mentioned this, that is the tell.
  • Feed and Merchant Center work — included, not billed as a project.
  • Daily search terms and budget management, not a weekly skim.
  • Creative production for the channels that need it, or coordination with whoever makes yours.
  • Reporting you can read — against your break-even, with brand split out.
  • Policy work — disapprovals and suspensions handled as part of the job.

What it should not include

Markup on your media. An account manager between you and the person doing the work. A six-month term. A setup fee for work that is simply the first month. And a promised ROAS figure from someone who has not seen your account.
