You send it a feed — titles, prices, images, availability, identifiers — and Google validates it against its policies. Approved products become eligible for Shopping and the shopping half of Performance Max.
Search, Demand Gen and YouTube do not use it at all, which is why a suspension does not have to stop you advertising.
